Mrs. Garbo's junior high science classes are off to a great start! Both seventh and eighth grades learned the steps required of a scientific experiment. To put the theory into practice, they performed an experiment with pennies and placing drops on the penny. After gathering their data, they wrote a lab report to summarize their findings.
The seventh graders also learned about biomes. Using their knowledge, they created terrariums, as shown in the pictures above. The eighth graders made a clock using potatoes, copper, and zinc wires, and they learned why such a clock works. In addition to their lab work, the students share a science current event with their classmates every week.
