Student Reporter News: Freak the Mighty
At OLS, the teachers work hard to cultivate a love of learning and reading. The below 7th Grade report puts into practice their lesson on figurative language.
"We just finished once again another good book in Reading class. This book was called Freak the Mighty;
it had imagery, metaphors, alliteration, and many more versions of
figurative language. The book could drag you in as if it were an
alligator dragging a deer into the water. You just went deeper in. I
appreciate being able to read all the wonderful books with Mrs. Ryan
because they are fun.--7th" grader Halie M.
