Terrarium Ecosystems

In science, the fourth graders are learning about ecosystems, or communities of living and nonliving things which interact with each other.  To put the lesson into action, the students made a terrarium as a model of an ecosystem.  They will be observing their terrariums for the next few weeks, noting how the various parts interact with each other and change over time.
